Closet Geneve has officially landed in California.

Closet is an online Swiss luxury consignment company focused on offering a customer experience closely resembling the one in a high end designer store.

For sellers and buyers alike, Closet thrives to offer personalized customer service; a unique client experience with great attention to detail. “One of the strongest assets of the consignment business is to give access to high quality designer pieces at an accessible price.” Explains Victoria Uldry. The young entrepreneur has now set bigger goals and is expanding to North America with collaborator Emily Sims.

Who is Emily Sims?

Born and raised in Switzerland, she moved to California in 1999 to attend the University of San Diego. After having two boys, Sims founded her own consignment business that she has been running for the past 6 years.

Last year, Emily and her family moved to Switzerland for a year. This is where she met Victoria Uldry and the two quickly entertained the idea of growing Closet Geneve to North America with a base in San Diego.

A French Touch in Southern California

Dior, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent… French luxury is iconic. People all over the world aspire to own a piece by a French designer. Throughout the pandemic, shopping habits changed rapidly. Consumers are now shopping smarter, with an ecological mind frame and are mostly shopping online. The second hand market is expanding fast, “consignment is an evolving business.’ Says founder Victoria Uldry.

This partnership has a few objectives. First, to expand the business to North America, second is to enlarge the reach of our ecological mission. Third, to offer a much larger range of luxury products while developing reliable and safe shipping between Europe and the United-States. Finally, it allows us to offer our North American clients a personalized shopping experience.
